The Social Services Department provides support to Botkyrka residents and is responsible for official authority, primarily under the Social Services Act. Support is provided to both individuals and their loved ones. The Social Services Department has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are approximately 500 employees who, using strength-based approaches, provide support to Botkyrka residents in an equitable, fair, and secure manner. Read more about the Social Services Department here: https://www.botkyrka.se/dinbastaarbetsplats The Position and Your Responsibilities We are looking for an engaged social secretary who wants to be part of investigating adults' need for support. With us, you will meet adults with needs related to substance abuse issues, mental health problems, and criminal behavior. The assignment includes qualified investigation, assessment, and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Drug Abusers, in close collaboration with internal and external partners. In your work, you will use evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Addiction Severity Index (ASI) to assess needs, strengthen motivation, and contribute to lasting change. The work also includes follow-ups at treatment homes around the country, which is why it is an advantage if you have a B-class driving license. Your main responsibilities are: Receive, review, and assess incoming reports and applications in accordance with current legislation Conduct home visits and outreach activities Investigate clients' need for support according to the Social Services Act or the Act on Care of Drug Abusers Grant and follow up on interventions according to laws and guidelines Collaborate internally and externally to ensure coordinated interventions Document securely in the Lifecare case management system As a social secretary, you will work closely with our open care unit for adults, our residential support teams, and other units within the department. By complementing each other's expertise, we create a holistic perspective and strengthen support to those we meet, always with the goal of providing the right support at the right time. About You You have a degree in social work or another equivalent higher education degree with courses in social law and social work. Other Requirements You have experience in civil service within social services. You have independently assessed the need for interventions and followed up on granted interventions. Meritorious Experience working with Addiction Severity Index (ASI), Signs of Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Experience in investigation work according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Drug Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM). Experience in social change work with people with comorbidity, social-psychiatric issues, or substance abuse problems. Experience with process-oriented working methods, digitalization, or improvement work. B-class driving license, as the position involves follow-ups at treatment homes around the country.
