This position is placed within the Social Administration, one of eight administrative departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Administration is responsible for authority enforcement, commissioning services, and internal operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and social psychiatry. Your Work Tasks In your role as a social secretary, you work broadly in the residential area of Skäggetorp based on the assignment. A large part of the work involves providing early, supportive, motivating, and therapeutic interventions to children/youth and their families at both group and individual levels. You therefore have a broad perspective on what social work entails and perform your work in different settings such as individuals' homes, schools, or in the social services offices. In your role, you collaborate with others for the benefit of the target group. Collaboration takes place with schools, preschools, family centers, and other activities in the area. Your Workplace This position is placed within the Close Social Services department, which is part of the Social Administration. Social Services Skäggetorp is a municipal initiative that conducts local social area-based work. The local office works with aspects of authority enforcement, early and preventive interventions for the target group of children and youth ages 0-20 and their parents living in Skäggetorp. In social area-based work, we develop a new way of working that means social work is conducted close to and in dialogue with our residents. The assignment is innovation-focused with an emphasis on being easily accessible to those living in the area. We collaborate with various actors in the area. Long-term, the goal is for the unit to help reduce exclusion, prevent crime, and increase confidence and trust in the social services' work. Working hours are basically 8-17 and we apply flexible working hours agreements. If needed, other working hours may occur. About You We seek someone with a degree in social work or a behavioral science degree at university level that the employer considers equivalent. It is desirable that you have studied social law at university level. You have previous experience in social work with children/youth and their families. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have experience working with group activities within social work. Since the work includes documentation, it is a requirement that you express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. A category B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement. You are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward. You are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances and can see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you can bring new ideas and approaches to work-related matters and dare to test new thoughts and ideas in practice. To succeed in the role, you need to value differences and understand how background, culture, and group membership affect yourself and others.
