Job Responsibilities The Housing Unit at Hisingen is now seeking a social secretary to our team that works with authority-based housing interventions, with the goal of reducing homelessness! A safe, stable home is a basic need to address all aspects of life, which makes this assignment so meaningful and interesting! The Housing Unit handles cases related to municipal contracts, reference housing, and emergency assistance. The unit also is responsible for Hisingen's eviction prevention initiatives and housing advice. The work group consists of 14 social secretaries and two senior social secretaries, and is located at Höstvädersgatan 1. Your primary task as a social secretary is to investigate applications, assess the need for interventions and the right to assistance, according to the Social Services Act. A large and significant part of the assignment is to work in rapid processes around emergency assistance, with the goal of providing the individual with the tools needed to resolve their housing situation independently in the near term. You also have the task of driving forward and following up that the interventions granted lead toward the goals formulated together with the individual. In your case handling, you apply the Administrative Procedure Act, the Social Services Act, confidentiality legislation, and other regulations, provisions, and procedures that govern our operations. In your work, you collaborate internally with colleagues at other units, with authorities, and with other external actors who play a role in the path to stable housing. You are offered support through methodology supervision from senior social secretaries and process-based group supervision, and you have the opportunity to work remotely one day per week. We warmly welcome your application! Qualifications You must be a social worker (socionom) or have another academic degree where social law is part of the curriculum. You are familiar with the legislation and regulations that govern our operations and have the ability to apply these. We meet people who are often in some of life's most difficult moments. Therefore, good client relations are essential. You need to meet each client with respect, attentiveness, and dignity. You need to have a professional demeanor that creates safety and trust, which gives the individual the opportunity to move forward toward independence. Meritorious qualifications include previous work as an authority representative. Experience working with socially vulnerable populations and sometimes with challenging behavior is considered a merit.
