About the Position Contact Services is part of the Foster Care Unit Southwest, and as a social worker in Contact Services, you will work with recruiting and investigating prospective contact families, support families, and contact persons. You will match service providers with children and youth who have been granted support services. You will follow up on the service provision and provide support and supervision to our service providers. The work team consists of three social workers, and you will have a senior social worker as your daily support. You will join a team with high expertise and several years of experience in social work. Your colleagues are ambitious, helpful, and driven to develop the operations. Contact Services is part of a network with the city's other contact services, and together with your colleagues, you will receive external supervision from one of these contact services. The position involves close collaboration with colleagues in Child and Family Services, the Child Welfare Secretariat, the Functional Support Administration, as well as with colleagues in the unit. The Foster Care Unit also consists of 17 foster care social workers, two senior social workers, two social administrators, and a unit manager. The work environment at the unit is characterized by helpfulness and work satisfaction. We have experienced and competent staff with great dedication to their responsibilities. About You We are seeking someone who is trained as a social worker with at least five years of work experience in social work with children and youth, as well as families. You need to have good documentation skills and be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. The position sometimes involves travel, so a valid driver's license (Category B) is required. Experience in contact services is an asset, and we see knowledge of social legislation and experience with investigative work within social services as merits. It is important that you have strong collaboration skills and can relate to others in a responsive and flexible way. You have a reflective ability both regarding your own approach and concerning the children involved and their families. You take responsibility for your work tasks and those of the group. You think about the people we serve and their best interests.
