The position is located in the Work and Integration Department within the Individual and Family Care unit in Vellinge Municipality. The department includes a housing coordinator and social workers who handle financial assistance, social psychiatry services, budget and debt counseling, housing support, family law, intimate partner violence, and substance abuse and addiction, with a total of 11 staff members. Our employees have high expertise in their respective areas, and the team works collaboratively, helping each other and providing coverage as needed. The team is led by an accessible unit manager. We work with the individual's right to independence and self-sufficiency and provide good service with regular client meetings. This requires good knowledge of our various areas, good treatment of our residents, and the ability to conduct matters in a legally secure manner. We expect you to work with a high degree of independence and have good collaboration skills. DUTIES The position involves a combined assignment where you work with intake services by assessing eligibility for financial assistance for new applications, and by processing applications under the Social Services Act (SoL) for persons with social psychiatry needs. Financial Assistance In your role as a social worker in financial assistance, you will mainly work on tasks related to our intake office, which means you receive new applications and investigate basic conditions for financial assistance. You also provide advice, support, and guidance to residents based on housing, social psychiatry, substance abuse and addiction, and intimate partner violence. The role includes recurring contacts with both individual persons and internal and external partner organizations. The role also includes offering basic budget and debt counseling. As Vellinge Municipality strives to become a more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based social service, the role may involve work outside the office environment to a greater extent than traditional government administration. Social Psychiatry In your role as a social worker in social psychiatry, you primarily work with processing applications for services under the Social Services Act (SoL) based on social psychiatry needs. The work involves investigating, assessing, making decisions, and following up on services. Within social psychiatry, services include housing support, care and residential living, and contact persons. In this work, you will have ongoing follow-up with providers of housing support regarding ongoing services. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a social work degree (socionomexamen). You should have at least 1 year of experience in social work with a focus on financial assistance. It is also desirable if you have experience with government administration within social psychiatry, but this is not a requirement. It is a merit if you have: Current experience with government administration in other areas of responsibility within social services Experience working in Lifecare Training in MI Experience with Case Management or similar work models The work requires you to have good computer skills, well-developed administrative ability, and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish.
