Do you want to help develop the future of financial assistance? We are actively working to implement the new activity requirement and we're looking for someone who wants to contribute to developing working methods that create clarity, participation and paths toward self-sufficiency for our residents. We are now looking for an engaged social secretary for the financial assistance team within the authority section of Individual and Family Services. The team consists of two social secretaries, two case handlers and a team leader. The receptionist/administrator of Individual and Family Services is also part of the team. The team's area of responsibility also includes budget and debt counseling, estate registrations, domestic violence and incorrect payments (FUT). You work closely with colleagues within social services and other collaboration partners to create good conditions for the municipality's residents. You get the opportunity to help develop our working methods and contribute to lawful and professional authority exercise with the individual's needs at the center. Your tasks As a social secretary in financial assistance, you have a dual assignment: to investigate and determine the right to financial assistance according to the Social Services Act and to actively motivate and guide the individual toward self-sufficiency. In the role you will, among other things: - receive and process applications for financial assistance - review financial documents and investigate, assess and make decisions according to applicable legislation and guidelines - investigate underlying causes and possible obstacles to self-sufficiency - together with the individual plan and follow up measures with the goal of strengthening opportunities for self-sufficiency - document according to applicable legislation and guidelines - collaborate with both internal and external actors. The work is conducted from a holistic perspective where measures are planned together with the individual and relevant collaboration partners. Collaboration is an important part of the assignment and takes place, among others, with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, healthcare and other activities within the municipality. We have close cooperation with Kinda Lärcentrum, which is responsible for the municipality's labor market initiatives. Together we work to create paths toward work, studies and self-sufficiency. Qualifications Requirements: - Social work degree or other higher education that the employer deems relevant. - Experience in social authority work and/or work with financial assistance. - Class B driver's license. - Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. - Good computer skills and experience working in digital operations systems. It is advantageous if you have: - experience in handling cases according to the Social Services Act - experience in work within Individual and Family Services - experience with the Lifecare operations system - good knowledge of relevant legislation and authority exercise - experience in collaboration with other authorities and actors - knowledge of or experience with MI (motivational interviewing).
