The position is placed within the Social Services Administration, one of eight administrative departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Administration is responsible for the exercise of public authority, procurement of services, and in-house operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (support and service for people with certain functional impairments), and social psychiatry. Your responsibilities We are now recruiting several social services secretaries to expand our team within the Adult Department. As a social services secretary in the Adult Department, investigation and follow-up unit, you will work with investigation and follow-up of decided support services for adults over 21 years of age. You will work with adults in need of services within Individual and Family Care (IFO), primarily in the area of harmful substance use and addiction. In the role of social services secretary, you will handle case processing according to applicable legislation based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Substance Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM). LVM is a central part of the work where you will to a large extent handle reports, conduct preliminary assessments, and investigations. You will have an important role in contributing your experience and expertise to the team and the work. The role also includes motivational work and providing information and advice to clients and cooperation partners. Other common tasks include cooperation internally within the administration and externally with other relevant actors such as service providers and health and medical care. Within the unit and department, there are also groups working in social psychiatry and LSS, which is a great asset in cases requiring interprofessional collaboration. You will meet adults in vulnerable situations, where no two days are alike. It is challenging, rewarding, and important work where you have the opportunity to make a contribution. To support you in your work, you will naturally have your colleagues, the team's case supervision, external supervision, administrative support, support from a senior social services secretary, and support from the unit manager. You will also be part of a group of colleagues who are supportive, development-oriented, and engaged. Your workplace The Social Services Administration is a department in transition. We work with a flexible approach to meet future challenges together, with special focus on the new Social Services Act and the opportunities it brings for our operations. The unit you will join is part of the Adult Department within the Social Services Administration. The unit consists of two groups focused on social psychiatry and individual and family care respectively. The unit has a unit manager, a senior social services secretary, and staff working as support assessors and social services secretaries. The unit works closely with the LSS unit and the Housing Unit, which are also part of the Adult Department. The Adult Department also includes a number of service provider operations that work on assignment of the investigation and follow-up units and offer services such as support, housing, and treatment within social psychiatry, and substance abuse, harmful substance use, and addiction. We work activity-based and are located in newly renovated fresh office landscapes at Drottninggatan 45. Working hours are weekdays 07:50-17:00 with flexible working hours agreement. Possibility for remote work is available by agreement when deemed appropriate based on operational needs and personal circumstances. About you You must have a degree in social work or behavioral sciences that the employer considers appropriate. It is meritorious if you have completed a course in social law. If you have completed courses in social work, administrative law, and psychology, we also consider that meritorious. If you have experience with authority work/exercise of public authority, we consider that meritorious. We consider it meritorious if you have experience in investigation and follow-up or have experience working within IFO adult, harmful substance use, and addiction. We also consider it meritorious if you have previous experience working in social psychiatry and if you have experience working in the Treserva system. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will be writing decisions and statements to authorities and managing internal and external contacts with associated documentation. Since travel is part of the position, a category B driving license is required. We also welcome applicants who are in the final phase of their driving license training.
