Would you like to be part of creating a safe and stable environment where children and young people have the opportunity to develop? We are opening a new residential care home (HVB-hem) in Hudiksvall and are seeking team members who want to be involved from the start. Here you'll have the opportunity to influence work methods, approaches, and culture together with your colleagues. During the startup phase, the entire work group will have time together for orientation, training, and getting to know each other – we place great emphasis on building a common foundation, both for the children and for us as a team. The service targets children ages 8–15 with extensive support needs and includes four places. We offer a home-like and long-term environment where relationships, continuity, and individualized support are in focus. Together, you will be responsible for clear and predictable interactions, ensuring that children are always treated equitably, regardless of who is on duty. Our work is based on understanding each child's needs, building relationships, working preventatively, and creating frameworks that strengthen what works. You will be part of a team of approximately ten staff members working day, evening, and sleeping shifts. Two of the positions are night shifts with waking nights. Job Responsibilities As a staff member at the residential care home, you work closely with the children and play an important role in creating safety, structure, and development. You are a role model who, through your actions, communication, and handling of different situations, helps children develop new strategies and find paths to positive change. In this role, you will, among other things: - Create safe and trusting relationships - Provide care, support, and guidance based on each child's needs - Support children in daily life, both at home and in the community - Contribute to clear routines, meaningful activities, and an active leisure time - Document according to applicable requirements - Collaborate with, for example, schools, social services, and healthcare Your Profile We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education, for example as a social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or support pedagogue. You have experience working with people in need of support, for example in psychiatry, schools, residential care, social services, LSS, or care. You also have experience working with children and young people. Experience from psychiatry is particularly valued. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of methods and approaches such as CBT, PBS, TBA, TMO, MI, low-arousal approaches, or ReSiMa. You have very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, as well as good documentation habits. A driver's license (category B) is required. As a person, you are confident, stable, and unpretentious. You have a genuine desire to understand and help and can build trusting relationships over time. Even in challenging situations, you can remain present and act with professional distance, warmth, and empathy. You are flexible, have good self-awareness, and see collaboration, reflection, supervision, and feedback as natural parts of the work. The recruitment process may include several components, such as work trials and group activities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Interviews may be held on an ongoing basis. Before employment, you will need to provide a valid criminal record check. Would you like to be part of our journey? Welcome with your application! About the Department We are here for people. We offer various types of support to children, young people, families, and adults who in some way need our services.
