Do you want to help children and young people (ages 6-26) navigate the challenges life brings? Can you be a support even in difficult situations? Do you enjoy being around young people and getting to know their world without prejudice?
We're looking for a social worker for our low-threshold facility (NZDM) in Jirkov.
We're not just a "club." We do more individual work, spend more time in the field, and address the real problems young people face—school, relationships, family, debt, or mental health.
What will you do?
- sometimes you'll be at the facility, sometimes you'll go out to meet clients,
- you'll conduct individual conversations and support clients through difficult situations,
- you'll collaborate with schools, families, and other services,
- you'll address specific issues: school, home conflicts, relationships, anxiety, or early debt problems,
- and sometimes you'll just sit with someone who needs you to be there.
We're looking for someone who:
- knows how to listen and isn't intimidated by difficult topics,
- can be both human and professional at the same time,
- wants to do meaningful social work,
- doesn't mind working afternoon hours,
- has education according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll. (higher vocational or university education in social field),
- has a clean criminal record.
What we offer:
- work that truly matters,
- a supportive team and space to be yourself,
- contract hours up to 1.0 FTE,
- 7.5 working hours per day,
- starting salary from 35,100 Kč,
- meal voucher allowance,
- pension insurance contribution,
- variable salary component,
- 5 weeks of vacation,
- supervision and further training,
- start date by agreement.
