Jelgavas novada Municipality announces a competition for the position of Social Worker for Families with Children at the Support Department of Jelgavas novada Social Affairs Administration (state official position) Key job responsibilities: provide assistance and support to families with children in problem-solving; identify and engage necessary resources in addressing social cases, respecting the specifics of social work in various practice areas; help clients improve existing and develop new social skills; methodically prepare and conduct educational and support group sessions for families; provide consultations to families with children on social situation resolution matters; develop and coordinate cooperation with other institutions (social service providers, educational and healthcare facilities) in addressing client social problems; develop Support Programs according to identified social problems and needs; manage the client's problem-solving process jointly with the client and other involved specialists; help individuals develop the ability to resolve personal and social problems, as well as problems involving other persons.
