Position offered - Social Worker at Ogre Municipality Social Service Support Department for work with families and children. Main job responsibilities: conduct social work with families and children; assess families' social situation, perform needs, resources and social problems identification, living conditions inspection; create client files, work in the Municipality Social Benefits Administration Information System SOPA; perform risk assessment in families with children where conditions are unfavorable for child development; develop social correction and social support programs; draft intervention plans; create and manage support and self-help groups; prepare reports for the guardianship court and other institutions upon request; organize social services in the living environment or institution; prepare decision drafts; inform clients about decisions made; work with the Minors Support Information System (NPAIS); develop inter-professional and inter-institutional cooperation. Requirements for candidates: second level professional higher education in social work or charitable social work; desired experience in social work; ability to work with the Municipality Social Benefits Administration Information System SOPA and MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Internet; good communication, empathy, listening skills, ability to make quick and independent decisions in non-standard situations, work creatively; ability to work in a team; excellent knowledge of Latvian language; good office equipment operation skills.
