Job Description Securitas is now recruiting security guards for assignments protecting socially critical operations for Sweden. This is a role for someone who is not just looking for a job – but is ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's provision and security. It's about protecting what must function – around the clock, year-round. If you're not already a trained security guard, no problem. We'll train the right person from the ground up! As a security guard, you play a decisive role in maintaining security for operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended authority, often in close cooperation with our clients. The shifts are scheduled for evenings and nights with working hours 18.00-06.00 following a schedule rhythm called 5:2, which means you work 5 days a week and 2 days off per week. The work is dynamic and varied and may include alarm handling, both stationary and mobile surveillance at the client site. As a security guard working nights at this site, you work alone, so you need to be comfortable with independent work. When needed, you'll always find support from colleagues in the field. You'll need to make your own decisions in critical situations, have good stamina, and sound judgment. Therefore, we're looking for someone who can stay calm when others don't – and is loyal to Swedish interests. Security guard surveillance is conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. In this role, you'll primarily work nights. The work is independent with significant responsibility. Since we operate a facility that runs all year round, it's common to work every other weekend. The role includes: Protecting socially critical operations from unauthorized access and other threats Conducting inspections according to applicable regulations and instructions Cooperating with personnel and authorities on security matters Qualification Requirements Must Have: Approved grades in Swedish and English from secondary school Class B driver's license Swedish citizenship Pass a security clearance Meritorious if you also have: Civil or military security guard training; if you completed security guard training with the Swedish Armed Forces as part of their basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training and GMU must be completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application Previous experience with protection of security objects, other surveillance, or security work Guard training VU1 and VU2 We're looking for someone with integrity, maturity, and the ability to take responsibility – both for your own safety and that of others. Security Clearance Note that this position is classified and requires you to undergo a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under applicable regulations, a security interview, background check, and record check will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any potential vulnerabilities according to the Swedish Security Service's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from you, public sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability. Where applicable, equivalent checks may be conducted of someone you live with or have a similar relationship with.
