Securitas is now seeking security guards in Karlskrona and surrounding areas for assignments protecting mission-critical operations for Sweden. This is a role for someone who isn't just looking for a job – but is ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our nation's supply and security. It's about protecting what must function – around the clock, year-round. As a security guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining security for operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended authority, often in close collaboration with our clients. The work is varied and can include both stationary and mobile patrols, access control checks, or work in a monitoring center. You will need to make independent decisions in critical situations, have good endurance, and sound judgment. That's why we're looking for someone who has the ability to stay calm when others don't – and is loyal to Swedish interests. Security patrols are conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. Shift lengths vary, but are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis. Since we operate a facility that runs every day of the year, it's common to work every other weekend. In this position, a good day is a quiet day, but as a security guard you must be prepared for situations to change rapidly. The role includes, among other things: Protecting mission-critical operations from unauthorized access and other threats Conducting checks according to applicable regulations and instructions Cooperating with staff and authorities on security matters We are security. We are Securitas. Requirements: You must be a trained security guard, civilian or military, with valid certification, or a trained guard with at least VU2. Must have passing grades from the first year of upper secondary school in Swedish Category B driver's license You must undergo and pass a security clearance as the position involves placement in a security classification You must be available to undergo a week-long weapons training course during office hours, physically on site. The training concludes with a passing result Meritorious if you also have: Previous experience working with protection of security objects, other security work, or security assignments Undergone extensive security clearances Weapons training (HAS) Clarification for those who are military security guards: if you have completed security guard training at the Swedish Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be more than five years old at the time of application. You should have the documentation ready in your application, as it can take time to request from the Armed Forces. You have a natural aptitude for structure and order, and an alertness that others trust. Security Clearance Please note that the position is classified and requires you to undergo a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any potential vulnerabilities according to the Swedish Security Police's regulations and guidance. Information obtained can come from, for example, you, open sources, or government agencies. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability. If applicable, similar checks may be conducted on anyone you live with or have a similar relationship with.
