About the Role Securitas is now recruiting security guards for assignments protecting activities vital to Swedish society. This is a role for someone who isn't just looking for a job – but is ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's supply and security. It's about protecting what must function – around the clock, year-round. As a security guard, you play a decisive role in maintaining security for operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended authority, often in close cooperation with our clients. The work is varied and can include both stationary and mobile surveillance, access control, or work in a security control center. You will need to make your own decisions in critical situations, have good stamina, and sound judgment. Therefore, we're looking for someone who has the ability to stay calm when others don't – and is loyal to Swedish interests. Security guard surveillance is conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. Shift lengths vary, but are often arranged in 12-hour shifts according to a rotating schedule. Since we operate a business that runs all year round, it's common to work every other weekend. The position involves, among other things, that you: Protect nationally critical operations from unauthorized access and other threats Conduct inspections according to applicable regulations and instructions Cooperate with personnel and authorities on security matters We are security. Requirements: Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of upper secondary school Class B driver's license Meritorious if you also have: Civil or military security guard training; if you have completed security guard training with the Swedish Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application Trained security officer Previous experience working with protection of security objects, other surveillance, or security work. We're looking for someone with integrity, maturity, and the ability to take responsibility – for both your own and others' security. You have a natural aptitude for structure and order, and a vigilance that others can trust. Security Vetting Please note that the position is classified as a security class position and requires you to undergo security vetting in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to applicable regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate lawfulness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities according to the Security Police's regulations and guidelines. Information obtained may come from yourself, public sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability. Where applicable, similar checks may be conducted on anyone you live with or have a similar relationship with. To be relevant for the position, you must therefore (at minimum): Not appear in the Police Authority's various registers, such as suspicion registers, criminal records registers, etc. Have orderly finances; not have payment defaults, unresolved debts, or be registered with debt collection agencies or the Enforcement Authority This is not an ordinary job - it's an assignment in service to society.
