We are now recruiting an initiative-taking school strategist for the Children's and Education Office, who wants to be part of developing the sector together with management and colleagues. The Workplace Children and Education in Nordmaling consists of preschool, pedagogical care, primary school with associated after-school center, special primary school, and adult education. You will participate in the management group consisting of the school principal and principals. Your workplace will primarily be at the children and education office in the main town. This is also where the school principal, central student health services, and administration are located. The Role and Responsibilities In your role, you will lead cross-sector development and quality work. The assignment thus involves close collaboration with the school principal regarding organizational development and coordination from a municipal-wide perspective. The school strategist's task involves collaborating with the management group to plan, coordinate, and follow up on the organization's quality work, support quality processes both centrally and in the operations, and identify improvement areas in both the short and long term. You create conditions for operational development and support school leaders in various school matters. You will also work with implementing laws, agreements, and other policy decisions, and follow the pedagogical development and learning within our educational operations. In your role, you may handle matters related to administrative authority, which includes preparing matters on behalf of the school principal. As a school strategist, you will ultimately work towards improved goal achievement and good, equitable quality across all operational areas of the sector. You will be part of the children's and education sector's management group. In collaboration with school leadership, you are responsible for the sector having sound finances. This may also include support in the budget process, including monthly, tertiary, and year-end reports. The responsibilities also include: - Manage and develop statistics through analyses - Conduct investigation assignments on behalf of the school principal and committees - Handle state subsidy applications - Assist the school principal in preparing service memoranda, statements, year-end reports, responses to referrals, responses to the School Inspection, etc. - Be a presenter in the board in certain matters - Represent the sector in various contexts both internally and externally - Manage the digital operational systems that the sector uses In your role, you will also collaborate with the municipality's other departments for HR, finance, IT, and other shared services. Your Profile We are looking for someone with higher education with a pedagogical focus and experience from the school system. You have strong experience with systematic quality work within schools. Meritorious experience includes user familiarity with the following systems: - Ciceron - Stratsys - Google Drive - School administrative systems, such as IST To succeed in the role of school strategist, we see that you have initiative, are structured, creative, and have good collaboration skills. You must have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Furthermore, we appreciate that you have visionary holistic thinking, are responsive and communicative in your leadership, and enjoy working both operatively and strategically.
