Norrgärdsskolan is a preschool–grade 6 school located in central Norrtälje. The school has approximately 500 students. Both schools also have after-school care programs that complement the school's activities. School nurses and school counselors are placed at the municipal schools. As a school nurse, you will report to the unit manager for student health medical services. We offer a secure workplace where supervision is an integral part of professional development for the team. Your placement will be at Edsbro School (including Norrgärdsskolan with responsibility for approximately 75 students) with the school principal as your supervisor. At school, you will work in a multidisciplinary team with a school counselor and special education teacher/teacher. Together with the school physician and in consultation with school management, you will be responsible for organizing the medical services of student health at the school. The work involves collaboration with students, parents, school staff, and organizations and agencies outside the school. Your Tasks You will: • Be part of the school's student health team • Be an important part in developing and strengthening collaborative student health efforts at the school • Contribute medical expertise regarding the school's preventive and health-promoting work • Work for good physical, mental, and social working conditions for students in close collaboration with the school • Offer health consultations and health screenings • Independently assess and administer vaccinations in the national vaccination program and supplementary vaccinations • Hold regular open clinic hours with counseling and medical assessments • Actively participate in quality development You will be part of a competent work group with a positive work environment. School nurses have regular peer meetings and group supervision. What You Need to Bring Qualifications We are seeking a licensed nurse with specialist training as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or district nurse. We would like you to have experience as a school nurse or experience working with children and young people. You are skilled at collaboration and take initiative on your own. You are interested in working with both health promotion and disease prevention, as well as handling other tasks necessary for well-functioning medical health services. You have a genuine interest in the school's students and a desire to support students in achieving their educational goals. To succeed in this role, we believe you are organized and goal-focused. Good proficiency with computers as a work tool is required. We document electronically in Prorenata and use digital student health surveys. A driver's license and access to your own car are required. Employment Type, Scope, and Start Date Employment Type: Permanent employment, 40% divided between Norrgärdsskolan 20% (Wednesdays) and Edsbro School 20% (Thursdays) Scope: Part-time, 40% Start Date: 26-10-26 For this role, the starting salary is normally between 44,000–48,000 kr depending on experience and qualifications.
