The Department for Authority, Support and Guardianship is part of the Learning and Culture Administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö Municipality. The medical part of Lidingö Municipality's student health services covers 14 municipal schools and 1 independent school with a total of approximately 5,500 students. We are 14 school nurses and one school physician who are centrally employed within the Learning and Culture Administration. The Student Health Medical Services (EMI) consist of school nurses, school physicians and school psychologists. We are a developing group with good and close collaboration. We meet once a month for APT and staff meetings, where we exchange experiences and support each other. 1 position(s). DUTIES We are now seeking a new colleague who would like to work with us. As a school nurse with us, you work with individual students as well as with groups of students within the school's activities. You become part of the student health team. You collaborate closely with the other school nurses and the entire EMI group. You work together around students' needs with parents, pedagogical staff, school physician, school psychologists, counselor and principal. From a student perspective, you are an important person who supports students' opportunities to succeed in school. Our student health services follow the recommendations of the National Board of Health and Welfare, the Swedish National Agency for Education, and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions for preventive health work. Lidingö Municipality works with early preventive measures through Backa Barnet. We actively conduct development work in areas including health conversations, mental health and documentation. Helping students in need of special support early is a prioritized area. QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in the role, we believe you are solution-focused and stable, able to handle various situations that arise in a professional manner. You are interested in working with preventive health work and further developing a modern school nurse role by trying new approaches and methods. You are a licensed nurse at the core and have a specialist nursing education or have begun education in one of the following specializations: • Specialist Nurse Program - Community Health Nurse 75 hp • Specialist Nurse Program - Child and Youth 60 hp • Specialist Nurse Program - School Nurse 60 hp We consider it a merit if you have: • At least 4 years of experience working as a school nurse • Experience working with children and young people • Experience with health promotion and preventive work • Experience documenting in the Prorenata medical records system Lidingö Municipality operates based on the values of being engaged, professional and initiative-taking.
