About the role and your responsibilities As a school psychologist, you assess students' needs and plan interventions together with the principal, student wellness team, guardians, and students. The work also includes providing training, supervision, and consultation to educators. Your assignment also involves contact with external partners such as child rehabilitation, BUP, social services, and healthcare. You have an important role in preventive and health-promoting student wellness work together with other members of the student wellness team. You are offered a broad and varied position where you have the opportunity to influence your tasks and develop your own areas of interest. As a school psychologist, you collaborate extensively with educators at the schools and with other professionals in student wellness, where you contribute your expertise as a psychologist. Continuous supervision and professional development are offered on an ongoing basis, and you will be part of a network with other school psychologists within the municipality. During the first two years, 20% of the position (50%) consists of a two-year temporary assignment covering parental leave at Munspelet School. Munspelet is an F–3 school located in Östra Lund, a short drive from Södra Sandby. The school has approximately 200 students. You will be part of a student wellness team that includes a school counselor and school nurse working at Munspelet and one of our other F–3 schools. You will be scheduled on Mondays, when you also participate in the school's student wellness meeting. We are looking for you We are seeking a licensed psychologist with experience working with children and young people and experience working as a school psychologist. You will be a key person in our preventive and health-promoting work to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. We expect you to have solid knowledge of what is required methodologically, both to collaborate with external authorities and in contexts that require assessments within the school. It is desirable that you have experience working with digital assessment tools and digital record-keeping in Prorenata. We are looking for someone who works well with staff, students, and guardians alike. We expect you to be confident in working with students and to be comfortable spending time in classrooms when the opportunity arises. As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly understand another person's perspective or situation. You listen well and are good at adapting your communication style. Since the position is distributed across two units, we see that you have the ability to structure your work and manage yourself. You must be able to prioritize tasks and deliver within given timeframes.
