Health and Learning is a separate operation within the Department of Labor Market and Education, which includes central student health services. Here, student development toward goals is at the center. The mission of Student Health is to create conditions for increased learning, greater security, and improved health by supporting preschools and schools in promoting children's and students' learning, health, and development. In the central student health services, today we have a school counselor, school psychologist, special education teacher, school nurse, and school physician. DUTIES The school psychologist's area of responsibility is mental health, learning, and development. Student development toward goals is at the center, where the school psychologist helps create conditions for increased learning, greater security, and improved health. The school psychologist is available to provide advice, support, consultation, and supervision to both teachers and principals, as well as to develop student health work at the organizational level. This could include, for example, problematic school absenteeism, behavior problems, and adaptations based on students' different circumstances. The school psychologist's mission also includes investigating students' right to admission to adapted primary school/adapted upper secondary school. As a school psychologist, you will have an important role within the Central Student Health Services and in the municipality's primary schools and upper secondary school. You will often work in a team with school counselors, school nurses, and special education teachers within the Central Student Health Services. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who is a licensed psychologist. Meritorious are experiences from work in student health or in other activities involving children and young people, or other types of health promotion work. Also meritorious is further education in educational psychology. You are interested in development work, have good collaboration skills, and enjoy working in a team. You have the ability to independently structure your work and make the priorities the operation requires. You have a positive view of people and actively work to create engagement and participation. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in terms of speaking and writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For this position, a class B driver's license is required. Please attach your psychology license to your application. An extract from the criminal record must be presented before employment in preschool and primary school.
