Furulundsgymnasiet is centrally located in Sölvesborg and has approximately 650 students attending both vocational preparatory programs and college preparatory programs, adapted upper secondary school, and an introduction program. DUTIES Are you passionate about young people's well-being and want to help create a safe and developing upper secondary school experience? Now you have the chance! As a person, you are confident, relationship-building, and driven, and you want to work together with us for our students' success. As a counselor at Furulundsgymnasiet, you work closely with your colleague, the student support team, school leadership, and educators. All with the aim of working preventively and creating good conditions for our students to succeed both in and outside of school. Your focus is on providing our upper secondary students with psychosocial support through individual conversations, crisis and conflict management, and group-oriented initiatives. Preventive and health-promoting work is a central part of your daily work. A very important part of your role is also external network work, where you are expected to have active and smooth collaboration with external parties such as Social Services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, police, and the Region. You meet young people where they are, with genuine commitment and a stable presence that creates security. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with a degree in social work or other relevant higher education that the employer deems equivalent, for example a bachelor's degree in behavioral science. It is meritorious if you have experience working with young people and experience working as a school counselor. To succeed in the role, you are a confident and engaged relationship-builder who finds it easy to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are attentive, have good collaboration skills, and value cooperation to create the best conditions for students' development and well-being. You have good judgment, work independently, and take initiative when the situation requires it. At the same time, you are development-oriented and are happy to contribute new perspectives and ideas that strengthen the school's work, always with the student's best interests in focus. The role requires you to be flexible and have a good ability to read situations and adapt your work style based on different individuals' and the organization's needs. You communicate in a clear and respectful manner and find it easy to create security in meeting others. Employment type: Permanent employment.
