Your new job As a school counselor with us, you have a meaningful assignment to contribute psychosocial expertise to the school's student health team (EHT). Together with other school staff, you work to create the best possible environment for learning by promoting health and prevention for a good learning and living environment. You are a natural part of the students' everyday life. In your role, you will actively participate in the school's student health team, contribute psychosocial expertise, and provide consultation in student matters. You will plan and implement preventive measures, both school-wide and in individual classes, through assessments, investigations, and group-strengthening activities. You will also meet with students and guardians through motivational and supportive conversations. Your work is largely guided by the needs of the students and the activities, which means you need to be flexible in the face of changing situations. You are offered great opportunities to develop and improve student health work at the school within the scope of your assignment in a responsive and learning organization. Collaboration with external actors such as social services, BUP, and police is an important part of the work. Experience of similar work and knowledge of the school's mission and work within social services for children and youth are advantageous. It is important that you are communicative, take initiative, and are prepared to do even what is on the periphery of the assignment. We wish for you to be a positive person who wants to be involved in developing school counselor work in our activities. Together with the school's various professions, you are expected to work in a solution-oriented manner. It is important that you have good collaboration skills and find it easy to establish good relationships with students, guardians, and other staff. You are flexible, engaged, creative, responsive, and empathetic. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is required both in speaking and writing, as well as clear planning ability to structure your work. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
