We are seeking a forest consultant within advisory services with a focus on sustainable forest management for the forests of the future. We offer placement within Region Nord: Sorsele, Norsjö, Arvidsjaur, or Älvsbyn.
Working as a forest consultant is a varied role with stimulating tasks and opportunities for professional development. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting advisory activities.
We work across large geographic areas, so the role requires that you can travel and occasionally stay overnight in other locations. We prioritize a good work environment and a sustainable working life.
Your responsibilities
Your main tasks will be within our advisory services, currently focusing on sustainable forest management for future climate conditions. Our advisory activities are conducted largely digitally via Teams, but field meetings are also an integral part of the work. Other tasks will include participation in projects and commissioned work. The role involves contact with forest owners, forestry companies, the public, and other government agencies.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with higher education in forestry. You have strong knowledge of forest management and forestry-related climate issues, with experience from forest production and advisory work to professionals and landowners being advantageous. We would like you to have knowledge of pedagogy and digital course activities.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. The role requires that you are proactive and can drive various activities, and that you can work independently and in an organized manner. Building and maintaining relationships is important for the role. You have strong collaboration skills.
You must have basic knowledge of IT/GIS.
A manual B driver's license is required.
Our offer to you
We offer a permanent position at 100% that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date by mutual agreement. Please indicate your preferred placement location (Sorsele, Norsjö, Arvidsjaur, or Älvsbyn) in your application.
