We are seeking a forest consultant within advisory services with a focus on responsible forest management for the forests of tomorrow. We offer placement within Region Nord: Sorsele, Norsjö, Arvidsjaur, or Älvsbyn
Working as a forest consultant is a varied position with stimulating tasks and opportunities for professional development. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting advisory activities.
We work across larger geographical areas, so the position requires that you can travel and sometimes stay overnight in other locations. We value a good work environment and a sustainable work life.
Your Responsibilities
Your tasks will primarily be within our advisory operations with current focus on responsible forest management for tomorrow's climate. Our advisory work is conducted largely digitally via Teams, but in-person meetings in the field are also a standard format. Other tasks will include participation in projects and assignment-based work. The position involves contact with forest owners, forestry companies, the general public, and other government agencies.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a forestry degree from higher education. You have solid knowledge in forest management and forestry-related climate issues, where experience from forest production and advisory work with professionals and landowners is a plus. We would appreciate if you have knowledge in pedagogy and digital course activities.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. The position requires that you are proactive and can drive various activities, as well as being able to work independently and in an organized manner. Creating and maintaining contacts is important for the work. You have good collaboration skills.
You must have basic knowledge in IT/GIS.
A manual Class B driving license is a requirement.
Our Offer to You
We offer a permanent full-time position (100%) which begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. Please indicate your preferred placement location (Sorsele, Norsjö, Arvidsjaur, or Älvsbyn) in your application.
