The next moment a patient's condition changes and the plan needs to be revised. That's what makes the job exciting. Work Tasks Here you'll use and develop your nursing expertise. For real. At Infection, you'll meet patients who require clinical judgment, knowledge, and the ability to prioritize. We care for patients with high and varying care needs and also take over patients from intensive care who still require advanced treatment and careful monitoring. You will work with: PICC-line, Midline, CVK, PVK, SVP Intravenous treatments and infusions Advanced treatments Elastomeric pumps Patients whose condition can change rapidly Clinical assessments and early detection of deterioration Patients with complex and sometimes extensive care needs If you're early in your nursing career, we offer tailored orientation based on your previous experience and needs. The goal is for you to gradually feel confident in your work, develop your clinical expertise, and build a solid foundation in your role as a nurse at Infection. If you've worked as a nurse for several years, we also want to leverage the experience and expertise you already have. Based on your interests, experience, and the clinic's needs, there's an opportunity to discuss different areas of responsibility and how you can contribute to the clinic's continued development. About the Workplace The Infection Clinic is responsible for specialized infection care in Västmanland and consists of both an inpatient ward and a specialist outpatient clinic. Despite being a smaller clinic, our commitment is strong – around 80 employees work together with a shared goal: to provide patients with the best possible care and develop Sweden's best infection clinic. With us, nurses, nursing assistants, and physicians work closely together. When a patient's condition changes, the path to a joint assessment should be short. If you have previous experience in the profession or from similar activities, that's a merit, but what's most important to us is your willingness to develop and contribute to the team. Since the role involves close contact with patients, relatives, and colleagues, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You need to be able to think on your feet, prioritize, and collaborate. But you don't need to know everything from the start. We're looking for someone who is curious and wants to develop – whether you're a new nurse or have many years of experience. You will learn a lot here. About patients, about infections, about advanced care. About detecting that small change that turns out to be important. And probably quite a bit about yourself as a nurse. Terms of Employment Employment Type: Permanent Work Hours: Rotation covering day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. There's also the possibility of weekend duty and shift work.
