Description
We are seeking a registered nurse with specific knowledge in neurology for our outpatient clinic. The position is organizationally located within the neurology team, which is part of the Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation department.
The Neurology Clinic is staffed with four physicians and three registered nurses. We provide standard neurological care, and patients with diagnoses such as MS, Epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease represent our large patient groups. In addition to nurses and physicians, the team includes a neuropsychologist, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietitian, coordinator, and social worker. The hospital also has radiology and laboratory services.
Responsibilities
Work as a neurology nurse.
Educate and provide patient information, counseling, and support to patients and families with neurological diseases.
Independent patient clinic for patients with neurological diseases.
Telephone counseling (follow-up on medication treatment and various other matters).
Standard tasks related to neurological activities, MMT testing, preparation and assistance with lumbar puncture and Tensilon testing, Apomorphine and L-DOPA testing, and genetic sampling.
Qualifications
Licensed registered nurse is required.
Education in neurology is a merit.
Experience working in neurological care is required.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are highly valued.
Interest in development, innovative thinking, and teamwork is important.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is required. Language skills beyond Swedish and English are desirable.
