Villa Hovstallet is a specialized residential facility for seniors located centrally in Industristaden in Kungsängen, within walking distance to Uppsala city center with its travel hub. We are now seeking a nurse for a full-time, permanent position (probation applies). About the role You are the hub around the residents' health and medical care services and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical orders are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in operations. Collaboration and support You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. An important role for you is to coach and educate care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life. In this, you work closely with the facility's group managers who are responsible for care staff. Our group managers also coach and work together with the teams in daily operations. We invest in leadership development for you as a nurse. One course we can offer you is "Leading without being a manager". Getting to know the residents Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and medical condition is often crucial for correct assessments and decisions. We offer 72 apartments distributed over four floors, of which 3 are dementia-focused and one somatic. You will be one of 4 nurses working at the facility. Your experience and knowledge You are a licensed nurse and we would like you to have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents often have multiple medical conditions and it requires that you have both comprehensive knowledge of various diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
