The Surgical/Orthopedic Unit in Ljungby is a combined care unit with both acute and planned operations. Here you meet patients within surgery, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, as well as palliative and oncological care. WORK TASKS As a nurse with us, you become an important part of patient-centered work. You work together with nursing assistants and other professionals in a team where collaboration, participation, and patient safety are at the center. The work is varied and gives you the opportunity to develop broad expertise in surgery, urology, and palliative care. You follow patients through different parts of the care pathway and play a central role in both care and treatment. Your work tasks include, among other things: • Pre- and postoperative care • Medication handling • Blood sampling • Documentation in Cosmic • Care planning and family contacts • Collaboration with physicians and participation in rounds For those of you who want to develop, there are excellent opportunities to gradually take on greater responsibility and contribute to the development of nursing work on the unit.
