At the Medical Specialty Clinic in Bollnäs, we meet patients daily with a wide variety of conditions. We offer consultations and treatments in several specialty areas such as oncology, rheumatology, neurology, hematology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, stroke, and general medicine. We also have nurse-led clinics in diabetes, rheumatology, neurology, stroke, and anticoagulation management. Nurses, nursing assistants, and physicians work closely together to provide high-quality care with the patient at the center while creating a safe and positive work environment. WORK DUTIES As a nurse with us, you rotate between the clinic's different operations and treatment units, giving you a varied and exciting workday. You work closely with other professionals and are responsible for planning and booking clinic visits, handling samples, performing blood draws, and guiding and supporting patients in their contact with healthcare. After introductory training and specialized education, you will also work with adjusting doses of anticoagulant medications at the anticoagulation management clinic. Main responsibilities • Scheduling appointments for physicians in the specialty clinic's operations • Providing advice, support, and guidance to patients via phone and digital healthcare contacts • Handling referrals, patient administration, and working in Cosmic and Min vård Gävleborg • Blood draws and monitoring of test results • Assisting physicians with various examinations • Providing information and support regarding illness, treatment, and self-care As part of the position, you have the opportunity to work certain shifts or some weekends per month in one of Region Gävleborg's 24-hour operations.
