Are you a nurse with an interest in psychiatry and eager to work daytime hours in a small, tight-knit team? Welcome to our forensic psychiatric outpatient clinic at Löwenströmska sjukhuset. Description At our clinic, patients receive care under the law regarding forensic psychiatric care in outpatient form. Many of the patients we care for have long-term and serious mental health disabilities. There is often also a substance use problem that can complicate the course of treatment. The clinic currently has 6 nurses and 1 care assistant on staff. The work is varied and stimulating as each patient has unique needs requiring different types of interventions. The relatively long-term outpatient contact aims to preserve the patient's mental health and prevent relapse into substance abuse and crime. We maintain close collaboration with forensic psychiatric inpatient care if needed. As a nurse, you are responsible for care work around the patient, based on the individual care plan that you help develop in consultation with, among others, the physician. You also perform standard nursing tasks in outpatient care, such as specimen collection, medication management, injections, care planning, SIP, follow-ups and documentation in patient record systems. We work in a team with nurses, care assistants, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and physicians. At the clinic itself, nurses and care assistants work closely together with their patients. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Further education in psychiatry is desirable, otherwise you will have good opportunities to specialize with us. As a person, you are responsible, flexible and have good collaboration skills.
