We provide acute care 24/7 with competent and dedicated staff. CSK combines the resources of a large hospital with the proximity and sense of community of a smaller one. The Orthopedic Department operates at hospitals in Hässleholm and Kristianstad. Orthopedic care at CSK includes acute operations and outpatient clinic services. The Orthopedic Department is a university healthcare unit with opportunities for research. The Orthopedic Clinic is a well-functioning clinic with an experienced team consisting of doctors, nurses, cast technicians, and nurse assistants. We work closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and medical secretaries. At the clinic, we primarily work with follow-up visits after acute injuries and operations. Patients of all ages visit the clinic. The clinic serves an acute hospital and it is common for more urgent visits to be scheduled during the day. The variety of different wound care tasks is therefore great and adds to the charm of the position. You will also have the opportunity to influence the operation. JOB DUTIES We welcome a positive and dedicated nurse who wants to drive the orthopedic clinic forward together with us. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, 08.00-16.30, with no weekend or holiday work. You will be offered interesting and varied work. Your tasks include telephone consultations, coordinating clinic operations, conducting your own nurse clinics, and collaborating with and assisting doctors during their clinics. A large part of the work involves wound care where, as a nurse, you will encounter everything from surgical wounds to complicated traumatic wounds. You make your own assessments and provide treatment, and refer patients to appropriate care providers when our specialist care has fulfilled its mission. To help you get into the operation and your role optimally, we offer you an introduction tailored to your experience and needs. There is great opportunity for knowledge exchange with engaged and experienced colleagues. Assignments at the orthopedic clinic in Hässleholm may become relevant in this position. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is required. Previous work experience making clinical decisions is a prerequisite for the position, as is good computer skills since documentation is a central part of the work. It is meritorious if you have previous work experience from orthopedic care and/or clinic work where you have gained experience in wound care.
