About the job Do you want to work with palliative care in people's homes? Do you want to make a difference for our patients and their loved ones together with us? We are looking for you who wants to be part of developing palliative care in Gothenburg City. We in the Competence Team for Palliative Care (KPV) are a team within municipal health and medical care and consist, in addition to nurses, of an occupational therapist and a physiotherapist. We work closely together as a team and base our work on a palliative approach built on four cornerstones: communication and relationships, teamwork, symptom relief, and support for loved ones. All to create the highest possible quality of life during the time our patients have remaining. As a nurse with us, you will assess and provide treatment to patients in their homes based on each individual's circumstances and needs. Patients can be of varying ages and have limited time remaining. What all our patients have in common is that they need the expertise that a palliative-focused team can provide. In addition to contributing to good care for our patients, part of your work will be to support their loved ones. You are offered a developmentally rewarding position in an exciting organization. At our workplace, we care about each other and work together to provide good and safe care. We want you to have a good work environment with balance between work and leisure. If you feel good at work, you also do a better job, and ultimately it results in better treatment and service for those we are here to serve. With us, there are opportunities to have influence and make an impact, in big and small ways. There are also great opportunities for personal development through training, various areas of responsibility, and specialized assignments. When we collectively strive to develop the operation, we create participation and engagement. The work is currently scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. We operate from shared premises at Bror Nilssons Gata 5 on Lindholmen. About you We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We would like you to have experience working as a nurse, in home health care, and in palliative care. Since we work across all of Hisingen, a B-category driver's license and good driving skills are required. In this position, you will work independently to a large extent, which means you need to be confident in meeting patients on your own and making assessments, but there are always colleagues who can support you in your work. We therefore see it as important that you can collaborate with your colleagues to provide our patients with the best possible care. Since you will meet seriously ill patients and their loved ones, it requires that you are empathetic and attentive. You listen carefully and create understanding for the people you meet in your professional role in order to meet their needs. For us, it is also important that you are a responsible employee who understands the importance of your work and how it affects others, and that you care about your colleagues. You are structured in your work approach and use your time efficiently. Does this sound like a job for you? We warmly welcome your application!
