The endocrinology unit is part of the operational area (VO) of endocrinology, nephrology and rheumatology. We are responsible for the southern healthcare region and provide highly specialized university and regional healthcare. We also operate diabetes, foot and endocrine clinics in both Malmö and Lund as well as an Obesity clinic in Malmö. Endocrinological inpatient care is provided at our Endocrinology Department. We care for and investigate patients with various hormonal diseases. The most common diagnoses are type 1 diabetes, complicated type 2 and endocrine diseases where thyroid and pituitary diseases predominate. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We welcome nurses who want to be part of our team and who want to be part of our exciting journey! As a nurse with us you are responsible for your own patients with complex endocrine diseases and work with advanced diabetes care and insulin treatment. You make clinical assessments to detect early signs of deterioration. This also includes work with patients who have pituitary, adrenal and thyroid diseases as well as providing patient education and strengthening the patient's self-care. You actively participate in ward rounds and development and improvement work as well as in supervising students and new colleagues. We have interdisciplinary collaboration between nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists and physicians. Important support functions in the department are medical secretaries, dietitians, foot care therapists and diabetes nurses. Together we work for good care where the patient's well-being is always the focus. In our department we work divided into two teams consisting of one nurse and one to two nursing assistants. Each team is responsible for six to seven patients. At night there is one nurse and two nursing assistants in the department. We are a specialized unit and offer you a customized introduction based on your previous knowledge and current needs. We also offer you good development opportunities in the form of training in specialized endocrine care as well as the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in, for example, diabetes, mobilization or patient safety. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have clinical experience and Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale.
