Work Tasks As a nurse, you work to provide good and safe care to our patients. Care is provided in close collaboration with the child and family. With the child at the center, you are part of a team with staff from various professional categories. We are seeking both newly graduated nurses and nurses with professional experience. We offer individualized introduction and internal training in pediatrics, as well as the region's introductory year for newly trained nurses. As a new nurse, you will always have an experienced colleague for support in your work. About the Workplace Pediatric Ward 64 is a general pediatric care unit with an attached pediatric emergency department. The ward treats children between 0-18 years old with varying diagnoses within all specialties. The ward has 15 care beds and is divided into three teams. The operation has great variety and includes care of chronically ill children as well as children with short-term and temporary illnesses. The pediatric emergency department treats patients with acute pediatric conditions. The work involves standard nursing tasks at a pediatric emergency department and offers variety in difficulty level, content, and pace. A day at the emergency department consists of many encounters with our patients and their families. Because a patient's condition can change rapidly, the work is both varied and challenging, which requires the ability to assess and prioritize. Staff rotate between the care ward and the pediatric emergency department. As a new nurse, you will begin your assignment on one of the units. When you are comfortable in your professional role, you will be offered the opportunity to rotate. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, whether new or experienced. It is meritorious if you have a specialist nurse degree in health and care for children and young people. If you have previous experience working as a nurse or have worked in pediatric care, that is also meritorious.
