About the role You are the central point for the residents' health and medical care services and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical prescriptions are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality in the operations. Collaboration and support You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. An important role for you is to coach and educate care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best life possible. In this work you collaborate closely with the residents' group leaders who are responsible for care staff. Our group leaders also coach and work together with the teams in daily operations. Getting to know the residents Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and medical conditions is often crucial for correct assessments and decisions. About Ametisten Ametisten is a modern elderly care home in Solna with 80 places – 32 with medical care focus and 48 with dementia care focus. We offer individually adapted care with heart, integrity, and freedom of choice. The home has an activity profile focusing on history, literature, film, and theater, in collaboration with, among others, the local heritage society, Filmstaden, and Solna Library. Young people from Ung Omsorg visit the facility and contribute extra joy and community in everyday life. With us there is a nurse available 24/7. Ametisten is operated as a contract service on behalf of Solna Municipality. Your experience and knowledge You are a licensed nurse and we would like to see that you have worked a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-morbid and it requires that you have both comprehensive knowledge of various diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
