The ambulance service has approximately 160 employees who are primarily responsible for ambulance coverage throughout Kronoberg County with ambulance stations in eight locations. The ambulance in Växjö is responsible for ambulance coverage in Eastern Kronoberg, and the ambulance in Ljungby is responsible for ambulance coverage in Western Kronoberg. Work at stations in the eastern part of the county includes Växjö, Alvesta, Lenhovda, Hovmantorp, and Tingsryd. In the western part of the county, coverage includes Ljungby, Älmhult, and Markaryd. Our primary mission is to be available for approximately 200,000 residents of Kronoberg County, but in acute life-threatening situations, there are no geographical boundaries. We also perform ambulance transport to hospitals for specialist care in other regions. Additionally, there are two non-emergency ambulances staffed with specialist nurses that mainly handle scheduled transports during daytime, Monday through Saturday. The allowance is multiplied by 1.5, which gives an extra supplement for those working full-time according to a rotation schedule. -Shortened working hours after each night shift: In rotation schedules where night work includes 10 hours, you are allocated 4 extra hours to your annual balance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nurse, you care for people of all ages who have suffered acute illnesses or injuries. The nurse examines, refers, and treats the patient before and during transport to the hospital or other healthcare facility. We work in teams, and each ambulance always has at least one specialist nurse. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you who are a nurse with specialist education in ambulance care. If you are a general nurse, you are also very welcome to apply. As a person, you are a dedicated and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. Your strong ability to meet patients and relatives in a professional manner is essential. To be eligible for employment, you must: - Hold a B-class driver's license - Meet the medical requirements necessary for traffic safety in order to obtain a C1-class driver's license.
