Registered Nurse for Older Adult Psychiatric Unit 126, Psychiatry Northwest Would you like to make a real difference for older patients while developing your skills in both psychiatry and somatic care? Unit 126 is an older adult psychiatric acute care unit with 14 inpatient beds providing 24-hour care. We provide support, treatment, and nursing care to older patients with psychiatric issues, often in combination with somatic illnesses or cognitive difficulties. The work includes both psychiatric and basic nursing care, and our patients receive care both voluntarily and under involuntary treatment. The unit has a strong team spirit where an experienced staff works together to create a positive and safe work environment. Your work as a registered nurse As a registered nurse, you have a central and meaningful role in patient care. You are responsible for nursing care and function as an important coordinator between different professions. An important part of the work is building relationships and creating trust.
