Duties Department 23 is a combined gynecological and obstetric ward where we provide outpatient and inpatient care. We care for new mothers and infants, women with gynecological conditions, and provide abortion care. Our gynecological emergency department operates during daytime and evening hours at the Gynecology Clinic. At other times it is located on Department 23. Women with acute gynecological and pregnancy-related issues come here. The role involves working on Department 23 where we care for patients ranging from perioperative care to more complex gynecological conditions. To give you broader clinical competence and understanding of the entire care chain, a planned rotation to our gynecological emergency department is included. There you will meet patients in acute need of care, perform triage, and make acute assessments in an environment that requires quick decisions and safe, caring interaction. About the Business The Obstetrics and Gynecology business area operates at Universitetssjukhuset Örebro, Lindesberg and Karlskoga hospitals. We actively work to develop research in women's healthcare. At Universitetssjukhuset Örebro there is an obstetric section with specialist maternity care and fetal diagnostics, a delivery ward and a postpartum/postnatal care unit. The gynecological section provides outpatient, inpatient, and acute gynecological care. There is also a fertility unit and an operating department.
