Work Tasks Department 96 cares for patients with general acute neurology as well as patients undergoing neurosurgery. Here you meet adult patients of all ages, with care periods that vary from illness to illness and many varied care situations. The department is primarily for acute admissions but also has some planned activities. The department also cares for patients in need of rehabilitation medicine care. Rehabilitation medicine is a county-spanning specialist service that offers advanced rehabilitation to working-age individuals with acquired brain injury, primarily stroke and traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other neurological injury/disease, as well as chronic pain. Follow-up care can be provided through day care and outpatient clinics. Qualifications We are looking for you as a licensed nurse who wants to contribute your interest in neurocare and rehabilitation medicine patients. You are focused, function well under stress, and can prioritize. You have a strong desire to be competent and professional. You show care for patients and their relatives and are a good colleague. About the Operation The neuro- and rehabilitation medicine operational area has broad activities consisting of outpatient clinics in neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, and rehabilitation medicine, as well as two inpatient departments. We work on developing care pathways for our patient groups in close collaboration between different professions and across specialty boundaries, both internally and externally in the region. Education and research are conducted in collaboration with Örebro University. Universitetssjukhuset Örebro (USÖ) is one of the county's three acute hospitals where we conduct advanced healthcare, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award from the newspaper Dagens Medicin as Best University Hospital. USÖ won the highest category for medical quality, had the best results in the accessibility category, economy, and in the category of preventing pressure ulcers and overcrowding.
