A care setting with both longer and shorter hospital stays. Then neonatal care is for you! We are seeking two colleagues for our neonatal unit for newborns. About You We are looking for a registered nurse or someone currently training to become a nurse and will soon complete their education. You are welcome to have an interest in or already have further education in pediatrics and adolescents or other relevant specialist training. As a person, you are service-oriented, have good collaboration skills, and see great value in teamwork. You have a positive and empathetic approach and demeanor toward children, families, and colleagues. It is important to us that you show great commitment and care for the children and their families, and have the ability to adapt and adjust your communication based on the family's needs and situation. You always work with the patient's best interests in focus and enjoy taking personal responsibility. Furthermore, you have no problem making independent decisions or handling acute situations when they arise. You are thorough as a person and have good organizational skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. Interviews and hiring take place on an ongoing basis, so do not delay submitting your application. Your Future Workplace The Children's and Youth Clinic provides specialized care to children and young people aged 0-18 years with medical conditions. The clinic consists of a neonatal unit, an acute section with a children's and youth ward and pediatric emergency care, a children's outpatient clinic, and day care. With us, you get the benefits of a smaller hospital with a personal and close feeling while we provide high-quality care and treatment. The regional hospital is located in a beautiful area near central Kalmar with good transportation options. The neonatal unit receives children born prematurely or who need extra supervision. We collaborate with the labor ward and postpartum care and work with zero separation, where the goal is for mother and child not to be separated during hospitalization. On the unit with approximately 35 staff members, we strive to maintain high competence and always work with a focus on the family's right to be involved in the care of their child. Our commitment to the family is strong, and we aim for the minimal possible separation between child and parents throughout the entire care chain. The family is at the center and should receive the individualized care and specific attention to which they are entitled and which they need. Within neonatal care, continuous development and improvement work is ongoing, so if you are interested in this, you will thrive with us. In addition, during 2028 we will move to new, fresh facilities! At our workplace, we have a learning climate where we exchange knowledge and experience. We practice a family-focused approach and mindset, where the family around the child is a natural part of the care work, and care takes place in close collaboration with the child's guardians. Our goal is to provide individualized care to each child based on the child's needs. All staff members are equally valuable in the team. We believe it is important to provide good treatment, create participation and trust. Working hours at the children's clinic include day, evening, and night shifts.
