On the Infectious Diseases and Pulmonary Medicine ward, we care for patients with diseases such as pneumonia, sepsis, wound infections, endocarditis, lung cancer, and COPD. We also care for patients with compromised immune systems or those requiring isolation due to diseases such as tuberculosis.
We are currently expanding the infectious diseases ward and we are looking for you to be part of creating a new operation. Do you want to work with patients of different ages and with varying tasks? Infectious medicine is an area where patient conditions can change rapidly and work tasks may need to be reprioritized. This requires flexibility and experience in both care work and social coordination as well as acute patient management.
On the infectious diseases ward, we work in pairs—a nurse and a care assistant—and in teams with other professionals around the patient.
We strive to offer good, person-centered care and to be a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to develop and grow. We use a wish schedule system that is then coordinated based on operational needs.
Your Tasks
As a nurse, you lead the care work from a holistic perspective with the patient as the focus. You are responsible for patient care and are expected to be able to prioritize and delegate work tasks. You are ultimately responsible for medication management and care documentation. Documentation is done in the journal systems TakeCare and Lifecare SP.
Who Are You?
We see that you are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience and interest in pulmonary and infectious care.
If you have taken relevant courses in the field, that is a merit. Knowledge of various respiratory support devices such as bilevel and high-flow oxygen therapy is also a merit.
As a nurse, you are empathetic and feel calm and confident in your professional role. You can work independently and as part of a team and are committed to both quality and patient safety. We also see that you have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and can adapt your approach based on the individual and situation.
Background checks through criminal record extracts will be conducted before employment decisions are made.
