We offer highly specialized cardiac care and have overall responsibility for patients in the region. The Heart Center includes the Cardiac Outpatient Clinic, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, PCI Lab, Arrhythmia Unit, as well as Clinical Physiology and the Center for Cardiovascular Genetics. We diagnose, treat, and operate on patients from across the northern region with diseases of the heart, lungs, and coronary arteries. Through collaboration across boundaries, efficient care pathways, continuous improvement, and competent staff, we can offer very high-quality care. We have approximately 400 employees at the Heart Center. At Cardiology, we have approximately 30 nurses and 20 nurse assistants. Cardiology consists of an inpatient ward with 12 beds, a cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) with 5 beds, and a diagnostic unit that is a weekly care unit with up to 8 inpatient beds plus day care. On our three units, there is a mix of planned activities, intermediate care, and emergency cases from the emergency department. We are now looking for two additional registered nurses to join our wonderful team at Cardiology. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a registered nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. Work as a registered nurse with us is skilled, and no two shifts are the same. Your responsibilities include identifying risks, assessing, addressing, and evaluating patients' needs. The work is varied and offers great diversity in terms of content and pace—sometimes at a fast pace with short care periods, and at other times involving more complex situations and longer care periods. The position involves rotation between our three units: the inpatient ward, CICU, and the diagnostic unit. You plan and perform medical nursing interventions in close collaboration with nurse assistants. It is engaging, varied, and challenging work where you have the opportunity to learn new things every day in a wonderful work group. We always help each other, and we have good collaboration with other professional groups (physicians, nurse assistants, physiotherapists, social workers, and support services). The focus is always on the patient. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a licensed registered nurse. We value prior experience in cardiac care, but it is not a requirement.
