About the Position As a registered nurse or district nurse at Home Healthcare Northwest, your role is to be responsible for patient care in their home environment. Our patients' wishes and needs are our focus, and we always strive to make their everyday life meaningful. This means your days will be varied, with diverse assignments. You'll work in a team with other nurses, occupational therapists, care assistants, and unit managers. Through commitment and innovative thinking, we work together to develop our operations and municipal home healthcare services. Collaboration with private service providers occurs following the introduction of choice provisions. During evenings and weekends, we have a central organization where all home healthcare areas collaborate from the same workplace. Examples of Work Tasks: As a registered nurse/district nurse: you work according to the nursing process with medical care for patients, independent planning, implementation of interventions, follow-up/evaluation of interventions you provide advice and guidance, conduct assessments and treatments based on independent judgments you work with preventive health initiatives you work with medication management you're responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to care assistants, and provide advice and support to other professionals on the patient's team you document in various quality registers and operational systems As a district nurse: you have responsibility to perform work tasks according to your specific role as a district nurse you have prescribing authority and apply your knowledge of medication properties, prescriptions, and side effects you make health-economic decisions for investigations and treatment based on specialized knowledge you mentor colleagues in areas needing training and are a driving force toward Person-Centered Care About the Workplace Home Healthcare Northwest is one of five home healthcare areas in Örebro Municipality. Our catchment area includes both urban and rural areas. Northwest consists of three units with offices in Wadköping, Boglundsängen, and Bettorp. We're now seeking new colleagues for our unit in Health Quarter Wadköping, where you'll work in newly built facilities with the scenic City Park as your nearest neighbor. Here we work closely with home services to develop new working methods to improve and develop our care and support. We therefore welcome commitment, innovation, and creative ideas. Home Healthcare is organized within the Social Administration's Care and Support area. Operations include care and support, preventive activities, regulatory authority within the field, as well as housing placement and home adaptation. Qualifications You take responsibility for your work tasks in an independent and structured manner and have the ability to make your own decisions. You're confident in yourself and skilled at working both independently and in collaboration with others. You're responsive and accommodating in your interactions with both colleagues and patients, and you see it as important to build trusting relationships. You have the courage to prioritize and lead work while keeping quality and patient safety in focus. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and master the Swedish language well enough to communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues in speech and writing. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: licensed registered nurse B driver's license (for manual transmission) ability to cycle Meritorious: experience working as a registered nurse experience in municipal healthcare district nurse or other relevant specialist education (for example, geriatrics/elderly care/psychiatry) experience working in operational systems such as Lifecare, Pascal, and NPÖ Scope and Start Date Employment type: permanent employment Employment degree: 100% Start date: by agreement Number of positions: 1-2 Work hours: day, evening, and weekend shifts. If desired, there's also the possibility of day-only shifts. Day shifts include work on red days falling on weekdays and approximately every 6th to 8th weekend.
