About the Operation
Would you like to be part of developing pediatric care in Dalarna? Are you a licensed registered nurse who wants to make a difference for children, adolescents, and their families? Then ward 34 might be the right place for you!
On ward 34, we care for children and adolescents between 0-18 years old with both acute and chronic conditions. We like to describe ourselves as the small hospital within the large one - here you meet patients in many different areas, including internal medicine, surgery, and orthopedics. This can include, for example, newly diagnosed diabetes, oncology, and neurology.
As a registered nurse with us, you will have an important role in pediatric care and in meeting the entire family. We work in care pairs together with nursing assistants and have 12 care beds. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team with close collaboration with doctors, dietitians, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. We also have play therapy and hospital school, which creates good conditions for a safe and child-friendly care environment. The position is permanent with rotation across day/evening/weekend/night shifts.

You will meet an engaged and competent team that is passionate about pediatric care. We offer individualized orientation based on your previous experience, together with an experienced colleague. During daytime hours, there is also a section manager available as support for new nurses and nursing assistants. You will become part of an open, competent, and cohesive team where we support each other and work together to develop pediatric care. Professional development is an important part of our work and we offer regular internal training in current areas.
You will have the opportunity to participate in, among other things:
Emergency room exercises and CEPS simulations
Pediatric basic life support (A-HLR) and specialized pediatric life support (S-HLR)
Regular reviews of medical equipment
Training and review of procedures and working methods
