Your Development Journey Step 1 – Blood Drawing and Laboratory Work You start in the laboratory, where you receive a solid introduction to blood drawing. Here you'll learn to: Perform different types of blood draws Handle samples in a safe and correct manner Understand why different samples are taken and how they're used in patient care Meet and guide patients in connection with blood draws Step 2 – Nurse Clinic When you feel confident in the laboratory, you move on to our nurse clinic. There you'll develop your practical and clinical skills by working with: Wound assessment and dressing changes Suture removal Staple removal Ear irrigation Other common clinic tasks Step 3 – Phone Advice and Digital Healthcare In the next step, you'll work with phone advice and our digital service Trygga Online. Here you develop your ability to: Make independent assessments of patients' care needs Provide advice and guidance remotely Prioritize and manage different patient matters Meet patients professionally via phone and digital channels Determine appropriate level of care and follow-up Secure Development with Mentorship You're not expected to know everything from the start. Through a clear development pathway, you have the opportunity to grow into the nursing role at a comfortable pace. Throughout the program, you're supported by an experienced mentor you can turn to with questions and concerns.
