Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Värnamo The Nurse Role As a nurse, you will be part of a team around each child and contribute your professional expertise. The team includes, in addition to nursing staff, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. Together, you will work based on the child's needs and view the child as part of their broader context. Your responsibilities include medication monitoring and collaboration with other healthcare providers and agencies that are part of the child's daily life and resources. As a nurse, you will also share responsibility for the clinic's telephone advice line and emergency services, which we staff during daytime hours. You will meet children and adolescents during initial visits and assess their care needs. Working hours are Monday to Friday, daytime shifts, and this is a permanent position. Your Future Workplace The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic is a county clinic consisting of three outpatient units in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. In Jönköping, there is also an inpatient ward and a day care unit specializing in anorexia treatment. We have approximately 140 employees in various professions providing psychiatric specialist care to children and adolescents in 13 municipalities in the county. We work with children and adolescents ages 0-17 and their caregivers. Your Profile We are looking for a licensed nurse with several years of professional experience. Further education as a specialist nurse in psychiatric care or child and adolescent care is a merit. We also value experience working with children and/or in psychiatric care. We believe you are an independent person who adapts well to changing circumstances and sees opportunities in change. You work well with other people, communicate effectively, and organize and plan your work efficiently. Since we emphasize collaboration in our operations, we value someone who enjoys working with others, is responsive, and communicates well. Personal suitability is highly important.
