Folktandvården Gotland is part of Region Gotland's health and medical care administration and has a mission to provide dental care to the entire population, from children and young people to elderly. Our operations encompass both general and specialist dentistry and are characterized by high competence, quality and strong patient focus. We have an important role in preventive public health work and actively work to reduce inequalities in oral health on the island. Folktandvården Gotland has approximately 100 employees and provides both general and specialist dental care. Specialist dentistry is organized within the oral and maxillofacial center at Visby Hospital, where we offer expertise in several odontological areas, including orofacial medicine. The clinic accepts patients by referral from both private and public dental care and has approximately 35 employees. The operations are characterized by an interprofessional approach and close cooperation with the rest of health and medical care. Close collaboration between employees, short decision-making paths and the opportunity to be involved in the development of operations are important parts of our work culture. Adjacent to the specialist clinic is also a dental laboratory with two dental technicians. Together we strive for a work environment where learning, collaboration and development are central. Your tasks As a hospital dentist or specialist dentist in orofacial medicine, you work with patients who have special dental needs as a result of illness, functional limitations or medical treatment. The work is carried out in close cooperation with other dental care and health and medical care. You also contribute to the development of orofacial medicine activities as well as knowledge transfer and support to colleagues. Who are you? We are looking for you who are a licensed dentist and who are a hospital dentist or specialist dentist in orofacial medicine. You have good clinical experience and a great interest in working with patients with special dental and medical needs. Experience in close cooperation with health and medical care is a merit. You are confident and responsible in your professional role, have a patient-focused approach and good collaboration skills. You enjoy working interprofessionally and want to contribute your expertise and be involved in the continued development of orofacial medicine on Gotland.
