Our Operations The PET Center within the Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine at Akademiska Hospital conducts high-technology diagnostics using positron emission tomography (PET), which involves injecting radioactively labeled tracers into patients and studying their distribution in the body using a PET camera. The PET Center has extensive production of radioactively labeled tracers for both clinical routine and research. The PET Center also serves as an important research infrastructure where new tracers are developed and evaluated. Your Assignment Your role as a hospital chemist will be to: • Participate in GMP production of tracers for clinical PET examinations approximately three days per week. • Develop methods and validate new tracers for PET, both for research and clinical routine. • Investigate deviations related to production or analysis of radiopharmaceuticals where special chemistry expertise is necessary. • Documentation according to GMP. • Perform service, maintenance, and validation of equipment for radiopharmaceutical production. Your Qualifications Academic degree in organic chemistry or equivalent. Completed research training in chemistry or previous experience in radiochemistry is advantageous. You must be fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken. Your Competence The work is highly equipment-intensive and we operate according to GMP with high quality standards. Therefore, we are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an open mind for new technology and working methods. You are also flexible and adapt easily to new situations. You have good knowledge in both organic and analytical chemistry. You have a stable and calm approach, even in stressful environments. We Offer Working hours are daytime, Monday–Friday. In some cases, production may need to start at 06:00. Permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement.
