Workplace Description We are a school beautifully located near the water in Hammarby Sjöstad, a modern district considered a natural extension of Stockholm's inner city. The school is located in Luma park in Sjöstad, close to forests and outdoor recreation areas. We currently have approximately 850 students in grades F-9 in primary school and grades 1-9 in adapted primary school. Sjöstadsskolan wants to be the best school for every student. Together we create a thriving and joyful school for all. Job Description Do you want to help develop math instruction at Sjöstadsskolan? We are seeking a qualified and committed math, technology, and science teacher for grades 7–9 who wants to help develop our instruction and contribute to student learning and development. At Sjöstadsskolan, we prioritize mathematics! We have a steering group that is currently working closely with our math department team together with our lead teachers. Together we are developing instruction to meet all students' needs – both students who need extra support and those who need greater challenges. We analyze instruction and results together and meet regularly for collegial conversations and development work. An important focus area is also to create good transitions between grade levels and clear progression in student learning. The position involves teaching mathematics to three classes in grade 9 and teaching science to one class in grade 7. The position also includes mentoring, and you will become part of the grade 9 team.
