Your Mission As a signal intelligence analyst, you will be part of the Signal Intelligence Division, which conducts signal intelligence operations according to the Act on Signal Intelligence in Defense Intelligence Activities. FRA's signal intelligence aims to provide information and warning about conditions in the world around us. This can involve threats to Sweden, as well as supporting the government's foreign, security, and defense policy. As a signal intelligence analyst, you are the first link in an exciting production chain. You work to find, identify, and interpret communication in foreign signals. You also make the initial assessment of material that will later be presented as completed reports to our clients. The work is performed both independently and in collaboration with others, and the pace of work varies greatly. You work in shifts, as operations run during daytime, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The work climate is characterized by consideration and helpfulness, where there is always someone to ask. Many have a strong interest in continuously learning new things and take pride in their work. The position begins with approximately 12 months of internal language training followed by approximately 6 months of specialized training. All basic training takes place on Gotland. You Can We are looking for someone who has: · At least completed upper secondary education · Good knowledge of Swedish and English, with the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing · Good general computer skills We consider it a merit if you: · Have a technical background, from for example upper secondary education, work experience, or other clear technical interest If you have knowledge of and interest in developments in the world around us, it will facilitate your work with us. Additionally, it is a strong advantage if you have an interest in languages and a willingness to continue learning and developing your language skills. More Information The workplace is within cycling distance of Visby. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is approved security clearance with background check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
