About the CompanyNewCold is a global leader in temperature-controlled logistics and automated freezer storage solutions for the food industry. With a strong focus on innovation, energy efficiency, and operational reliability, they develop and operate highly automated facilities where material flow is largely handled without manual intervention. NewCold is making a major investment in Sweden through the establishment of one of the country's most modern fully automated freezer warehouse in Flen, a state-of-the-art facility that will play an important role in the future of food logistics. About the RoleAs a service technician at NewCold, you will be a key part of ensuring operations in one of Europe's most modern and highly automated warehouse facilities. You will work in a technically advanced environment where automation, mechanics, and digital systems work together to create an efficient material flow. The role is practically oriented and largely mechanical, where you are responsible for keeping the facility operational through both preventive and corrective maintenance. You will work closely with the facility's various systems and components, from conveyors, cranes, and lifts to doors and property-related components. The work involves daily analysis of error codes, conducting inspections, and addressing problems by, for example, replacing components and spare parts, as well as performing various types of service maintenance. The role involves collaboration and communication with both internal and external functions, where more advanced troubleshooting within the control system is handled by central support teams, while you are responsible for the practical implementation on-site. The role also involves working in digital maintenance systems, where you plan, document, and follow up on maintenance activities. You will also be involved in the facility startup, which gives you a unique opportunity to familiarize yourself with the systems from the beginning and contribute to stable and efficient operations. More specifically, the position includes: - Performing mechanical maintenance on automated systems such as conveyors, lifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment - Replacing and maintaining components such as motors, transmitters, sensors, chains, and roller bearings - Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and performing simple electrical troubleshooting - Working in maintenance systems (Ultimo) with work orders, documentation, and follow-up - Conducting daily inspection rounds and preventive maintenance - Handling error codes and addressing identified problems in consultation with central support functions - Participating in startup, testing, and optimization of the facility - Working with property-related maintenance such as doors, gates, and simple repairs About YouWe are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest who thrives in a role where you get to work practically with your hands while understanding how various systems fit together. You have a background in mechanical maintenance and are used to troubleshooting and addressing problems in industrial technical environments. You don't need to be a specialist in automation or programming, but you have a basic understanding of how automated systems work and are curious to learn more. To succeed in the role, it is important that you are comfortable working in digital platforms, as much of the planning and follow-up takes place through maintenance systems. You appreciate a varied workday where you alternate between practical work in the facility and administrative tasks at the computer. Furthermore, you thrive in an environment where collaboration is important, while you take great personal responsibility for your work tasks. Last but not least, you value order and place great importance on careful and systematic work. The following are requirements for the position: - Experience with mechanical maintenance in an industrial or similar technical environment - Basic knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read electrical diagrams - Good computer skills and understanding of digital maintenance systems - Class B driver's license - Good knowledge of Swedish and English Meritorious: - Experience working in automated environments or warehouses - Knowledge of PLC systems (for example, Siemens) - Experience with LEAN or improvement work - Experience with cooling systems or industrial operations Other Information Start: By agreement and considering notice period Location: Flen Scope: Full-time Working hours: 2-shift Salary: By agreement Background checks will be conducted on candidates who proceed in the process.
